  • RoyaltyGreater of 5%-5.5% of monthly Gross Sales or a monthly minimum; paid twice monthly.

Rate: 5.5% below $1 million in annualized monthly Gross Sales; 5% at or above it. Separate businesses cannot combine sales. Month 1 starts at opening or nine months after the agreement's effective date, whichever is earlier. See the royalty FAQ for minimums.

  • Advertising contributionGreater of 1% of monthly Gross Sales or $150 per territory per month; paid twice monthly.

The percentage may rise to 2%. The $150-per-territory monthly minimum is waived for months 1-6, counted from opening or nine months after the agreement's effective date, whichever is earlier. The fund does not directly promote your local business.

  • Local marketingAt least the greater of 2% of monthly Gross Sales or $150 per territory per month.

Use pre-approved marketing within your territory, separate from the brand fund and launch package. Spending may increase if you miss contractual sales minimums. If a regional DMA fund is established, contributions may be up to 2% of monthly Gross Sales, with a $150-per-territory monthly floor. These are selected major costs, not a complete operating budget.
