Upfront investment

Total initial investment

$224,250 – $423,800

USD estimate for a leased, 1,000 to 1,500 sq. ft. salon. Includes the franchise fee, required Turn Key Package, and six-month startup operating allowance. Excludes debt service. Both estimates share the site and budget assumptions explained below.

Initial franchise fee

$40,000

Normally counted within the total above, not added on top — confirm in the source.

USD fee for one salon, due at signing. Uniform for franchisees, fully earned, and nonrefundable upon payment.

Selected fees

  • Royalty6% of Gross Sales, monthly

Due on the 10th of the following month. Gross Sales excludes employee tips and sales tax collected and remitted. It includes credit sales regardless of collection, barter at retail value, business-interruption insurance proceeds, and vendor payments. Chargebacks are not deducted.

  • Advertising contribution2% of Gross Sales, monthly

The separate Brand Development Fee uses the same Gross Sales definition as royalty and is due on the 10th of the following month. It funds system marketing; Knockouts need not spend a particular amount in your territory. These are selected major costs, not a complete operating budget.

These are selected fees, not the complete fee schedule. Review the full FDD for all fees and conditions.

Ownership and support

What owning this franchise involves

Your role

Hiring a manager does not remove your owner involvement or training obligations.

Owner involvement
Devote your best efforts to management and operation; you need not manage the salon personally.
Main responsibilities
Offer required, approved services and products, and participate in brand customer loyalty programs.
Manager requirements
Every salon needs an on-premises manager who completes Knockouts training; the manager need not own equity.
