Upfront investment

Total initial investment

$63,089 – $109,239

USD estimate includes the franchise fee, a $10,000 business administration setup fee and three months of owner-operator startup funds. Those funds exclude royalties, wages and owner compensation. Actual expenses may be higher.

Initial franchise fee

$40,000 – $80,000

Normally counted within the total above, not added on top — confirm in the source.

Typically USD $40,000 to $80,000, due in full at signing and generally nonrefundable. The starting basis is $0.10 per resident; territory characteristics can change the fee. Qualified veterans receive 10% off; existing franchisees adding a territory receive 20% off and a setup-fee waiver.

Selected fees

  • Royalty6% to 10% of monthly Gross Revenue, subject to monthly minimums of $0 to $1,400.

The opening calendar year uses 10%; later rates depend on prior calendar-year Gross Revenue. Minimums are due the next month, with any percentage balance due two months later. No credit is given when the percentage is below the minimum; later revenue does not reduce an earlier month's minimum.

  • Advertising contributionNational fund: greater of $200 or 2% of monthly Gross Revenue.

Payments begin the first full month after opening and are due on the seventh. The contribution may increase on at least 30 days' notice, by no more than 10% in any 12-month period. National fund payments do not count toward required local spending.

  • Local marketing$1,000 per month on average for local promotion and referral-network development.

Separate from the national fund. Report spending monthly starting the first full month after opening, unless a performance-based reporting waiver applies. Shortfalls may be collected and spent for you. Spending may increase on 30 days' notice, by no more than 10% per 12 months. Advertising needs prior approval; a designated cooperative adds a separate contribution.
