Includes the franchise fee, equipment package, $10,000 nonrefundable initial marketing fee and $60,000 to $90,000 for six months of operating funds. Excludes debt service, owner salary and living expenses. Package sales tax is additional; other opening expenses may arise. Amounts are in US dollars.

The standard fee is due in full at signing and is nonrefundable. Qualified veterans and first responders pay $39,500 for their first franchise; existing franchisees pay $24,750 for an additional studio.

Selected fees

  • RoyaltyMonthly: 6% of the first $60,000 in Gross Sales; 4% above, subject to minimums.

    Measured from the agreement's effective date: no royalty or minimum in months 1-12; percentage royalty only in months 13-24. Thereafter, pay the greater of the percentage royalty or monthly minimum: $500 in months 25-36, $750 in 37-48, $1,000 in 49-60 and $1,500 after month 60.

  • Advertising contribution.75% to 1.75% of monthly Gross Sales by tier, from the agreement's effective date.

    The rate applies to monthly Gross Sales based on the sales tier: 1.75% at $0-$20,000; 1.5% at $20,001-$40,000; 1.25% at $40,001-$170,000; .75% above $170,000. Tiers may change or be removed on 90 days' notice, but the fee cannot exceed 2% of monthly Gross Sales.

The Control Person must complete training and have authority to direct the business and sign contracts.
