Selected fees

  • Royalty20% to 6% of TAB-collected revenue, paid monthly; $60,000 annual cap; minimums apply.

    Calendar-year collection tiers: 20% through $125,000; 12% to $160,000; 8% to $200,000; 6% above. Pay the greater of the royalty or monthly minimum: $450 in service months 10-13, $900 in 14-18, $1,350 in 19-24, then $1,800. Dollar amounts are USD.

  • Advertising contributionMonthly: 2% of TAB-collected revenue in service months 1-12; then greater of $300 USD or 2%.

    The Marketing Development Fee begins when royalty payments begin and goes to TAB's Franchise Marketing Account. From month 13, the calculation uses the prior month's collections. Transferees and existing Facilitators pay the greater of $300 USD or 2% from their first service month. This contribution does not count toward required local marketing.

  • Local marketingOwner-funded campaigns and additional marketing required throughout the first service year.

    Conduct an initial mass marketing campaign, then additional marketing for the rest of the first year. You pay all costs. No local or regional advertising cooperative participation is required.
