  • Royalty8% of monthly Gross Revenues

    Due monthly on the 15th. Gross Revenues includes product and service sales, credit sales whether collected or not, and barter value. Refunds up to the sales price, discounts, taxes, merchandise-loss settlements and customer-paid shipping are excluded.

  • Advertising contributionBrand fund: 1% of monthly Gross Revenues, with increases up to 4%

    Due monthly on the 15th. May rise by 1 percentage point with 30 days' notice, no more than once per 12 months, up to 4%. The franchisor may lower, suspend or rebate it. Fund spending need not benefit your location directly or in proportion to your contributions.

  • Local marketingCurrently $0; may be set up to 1% of monthly Gross Revenues

    At least 1% of monthly Gross Revenues is recommended. Missing contractual performance benchmarks can raise required local spending. Ads need approval; the franchisor may collect required spending and advertise for you. If a cooperative forms, you must join and pay your share of costs, in addition to the brand fund but credited against required local spending.
